Scholarships
The SMPS Columbus Scholarship Fund was established in 2017 to support current high school and higher education students and SMPS Columbus members who are pursuing and/or advancing their careers in the Marketing, PR, Graphic Design, Communications, and Related Fields. The fund is supported by our Chapter’s annual Scholarship Golf Outing, Trivia Fundraiser Event, and donations collected throughout the program year. The dollar amount of each scholarship is consistent, but the maximum total number of scholarships awarded for the year will be dependent on the funds raised.
For the 2025-2026 Program Year, SMPS Columbus scholarships will be mailed to winners.

Applications will be due on or before Friday, March 20, 2026.

Scholarship recipients will be notified of award by Friday, April 15, 2026.
CURRENT HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS
SMPS Columbus is offering up to two (2) $1,000 scholarships to two (2) current high school seniors, graduating in Spring 2026. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a Scholarship selection committee. Scholarship recipients will also be offered the opportunity to be paired with SMPS Columbus members to discuss their career path, networking, resume preparation, and related matters within the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry.
CURRENT HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS
SMPS Columbus is offering up to two (2) $1,000 scholarships to two (2) current higher education students. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a Scholarship selection committee. Scholarship recipients will also be offered the opportunity to be paired with SMPS Columbus members to discuss their career path, networking, resume preparation, and related matters within the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry.
TED ORR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (SMPS Columbus Members)
SMPS Columbus is offering one (1) $2,000 scholarship to one (1) current SMPS Columbus member to be used toward their registration and travel expenses for Amplify A|E|C or The Pinnacle Experience. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a Scholarship selection committee.
Amplify A|E|C is a national conference that will empower professionals with business-critical skills to grow and advance their firms and industries. The Pinnacle Experience is a symposium-style learning opportunity for senior marketing leaders. This thought-provoking event lets attendees discuss fresh ideas, exchange unique perspectives with other industry leaders, and learn about and share inspiring successes.
