Volunteer Event at the MAP Furniture Bank: 1:00 - 4:00 pm 

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the room size at the Furniture Bank, registration will only be open to the first 25 attendees. If you are a SMPS MIX Master, please register yourself or email Amy Shea  by Friday March 29. There is no limit to the number of volunteers allowed at the volunteering event after the presentation, beginning at 1:00pm.

Today’s professionals must learn to communicate with staff of all ages. Productive organizations embrace the diverse experiences of their workforce. Learn to collaborate with Boomers, Gen-Xers, Millennials and more.

We’ve all experienced tense moments in our careers where people can’t seem to agree on how to get work done. Productivity requires planning and action, but it also requires a shared perspective. Creative staff and management must learn to collaborate and compromise; technical staff and marketing teams must learn to communicate in plain yet accurate language. Generations must merge working styles so that everyone can be more efficient, more effective and more satisfied.

This is especially true in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry, where there are sharp deadlines, strong personalities, and a wide variety of perspectives and ages.
