The Crossroads Mentorship Program echoes the mission of SMPS: to advocate, educate and connect. The namesake, “Crossroads,” expresses the idea of bringing people together to share experiences and knowledge for personal growth and professional development. The program allows our participants access to structured programming, tools and resources, and networking events to keep the discussion going. All who participate are entering into a long-standing tradition of the Columbus chapter with many alumni still in the A/E/C industry and long-term SMPS members.
Are you new to the industry? Did you take on a new role within your organization? Would you like to receive guidance and advice from senior level Marketing and Business Development staff? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Crossroads Mentorship Program is for you!
New for 2017 – 2018
This year’s program will be composed of hour-long roundtable sessions, with discussion of various topics led by designated ‘mentors’. These participating ’mentors’ will possess deep knowledge of the chosen topic, but are also able to offer their expertise on other facets of marketing pertaining to the A/E/C industry. This year’s Crossroads Mentorship program will focus on a variety of “How To” sessions.
While exploratory topics have been selected for each session to help shape discussions, an open environment will be encouraged to allow learning from the perspectives all participants. Questions and discussion points regarding the session’s topic will be solicited one week prior to allow registered participants the opportunity to submit anonymous questions and discussion topics for that month’s Crossroads event.
The Crossroads program remains a “members only” benefit and the number of participants per event is limited to 15 members.
